This is a fabalous hotel.
We stayed just one night (Saturday) and came
away feeling inspired, relaxed and full of praise. First of all, it is just
outside Killarney and provides stunning views. The hotel operates a shuttle bus
and drop you off anywhere in town; they'll also collect you by arrangement - but
the taxi fare from town cente to the hotel is not expensive (€10 with great
commentary from the local taxi drivers). The rooms are a great size and the
bath-rooms are very spacious with the old-type free standing large baths (very
useful after a day in the mountains) and a super show. The breakfast was really
good. Good selection of buffet and served hot breakfast. They had many types of
fruits, yogurts, sprinklings, cold meats, cheeses and breads. The view from the
breakfast room is spectacular,
Go there. immerse yourself in relaxation -
see Killarney, the Gap of Dunlow, Torc waterfall, Molls Gap, Mucross House and
Gardens. Walk around this gorgeous countryside then retreat to the hotel and let
it serve you up a treat.

"This was my husband's and my second time in this fabulous
hotel. A unique occurance in itself as I never return to the same hotel! We
brought our 14 month old baby Sarah with us and the hotel staff could not have
been more accomodating. This hotel has everything from Spa, swimming pool to
media room. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is quite simply amazing! we
dined in the restaurant on Saturday evening and the high standard of the food
was only matched by the professional yet friendly high standard of service. We
drove 5.5 hrs to get to this hotel....with a 14 month old. I think that says it
all. I can't wait to go back".

"3 families, lousy weather, a bit of flu and mercifully 4
nights at Aghadoe to make it all better! We've stayed at a few places and
Aghadoe is more than a five star hotel. it is the product of great food,
Fantastic staff and really the best location in Ireland for a family holiday. It
may sound corny but the hospitality in Kerry is to be envied by the rest of the
country. So, why so fantastic? Stephen and Shane in the Lake Room being VERY
patient with our children, (and us) John who went out of his way to bring me to
the pharmacy, The Irish Times slipped under my door without having asked for it
, a pint put in my husbands hand, there is more but you'll have to find out
yourself".

"We only stayed here one night but wish it could have been
longer. The hotel is beautiful, modern, spotlessly clean, tastefully
docorated.
Beautiful spa...again wish we had more time and money to spend
here.
We ate dinner in the restaurant, the service was impeccable and the
food devine. Bar prices were reasonable, sometimes when you go to a 5 star or
even some 4 star hotels you get ripped off in the bar but at €4.80 for a bottle
of beer I thought it wasn't bad. Now the staff, they really do make this
hotel superior, from the hotels reception to the wait staff and every staff
member inbetween they excelled at making us feel welcome and were so friendly
I've never had service as good before in any hotel.
My only gripe with the
Aghadoe was the twin neds pushed together..It's a pet peev of mine..the room
itself was lovely and wonderful views of the lakes".

"I took my mother for her sixtieth birthday together with
my wife to the spa at this remarkably situated hotel. They availed themselves of
the Neom top-to-toe treatment. Naturally the ladies were delighted. The
whole experience from the reception through the spa and to the excellent service
given us by Stephen in the bar was superior to anything I have witnessed during
our stays in Switzerland. This hotel and its spa facilities are in my
view genuinely first rate, and the staff are a credit to the place".

"We stayed at the hotel over christmas and really enjoyed
the cosy atmosphere and facilities.Lunch and dinner were superb probably the
highlight of our stay. Staff were friendly attentive and funny with a healthy
Kerry wit that is always engaging. Hotel room was nice could do with plasma tv's
but then why go to Killarney and spend all the time watching tv. My wife used
the spa and loved it. I recommend this hotel as a really lovely place where
we left very relaxed after our stay".

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay over Christmas at
Aghadoe, from the moment we arrived we were really well looked after. The staff
are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel like royalty.
The breakfast is fantastic with a great choice and cooked to order. Bar food is
also top notch. I used the spa and thermal suite and it was a 5 star treat all
the way. The weather was terrible during our stay and it did take away from the
wonderful view from the hotel of the Lakes and our room, but we enjoyed the
hotel more because we soaked up the wonderful surroundings and spent all our
time in the hotel. It is obvious the level of thought that has gone into the
hotel from the art on the walls to the aveda products in the rooms - it is a
wonderful place. We would highly recommend a visit, and we hope to return soon".
